...was a smashing success! Lots of food, lots of people, lots of countries. This annual dinner features food prepared by the students of the Welcoming the Stranger English, Computer, and Citizenship classes.

This year’s dishes, served buffet-style to over 140 guests, included food from Belarus, China, Cuba, Egypt, England, Guinea, India, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Morocco, Peru, Poland, Russia, Syria, Turkey and Ukraine.

In addition to the abundance of food, there was a silent auction and a raffle to benefit the Welcoming the Stranger ministry.

Crispen Masuka, an African drummer from Zimbabwe, provided lively entertainment.

All the food for the 140 guests was donated and prepared entirely by the students from the Welcoming the Stranger classes.

The proceeds from dinner ticket sales, the raffle, and the auction came to nearly $4,000. If you missed this event but would like to support our efforts, just click the button below.
