SPRING FESTIVAL 2012
Dear Friends:
Spring has sprung, and so too have the hopes and ambitions of farnilies whose
needs we meet. Spring is traditionally our busiest season, and with your help we
can serve even more families in Bucks County and Northeast Philadelphia. Please
share your support by attending our Spring Festival 2012.
We warmly invite you to join us for our Spring Festival on Thursday, May 24,
2012 at the Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, Pa. The cost to attend is $30 per
person in advance. and $35 at the door. There will be an elegant diner and
auction, and lots of fun for all. Download our enclosed brochure for more information.
By joining us, you can help honor our special guest, Darletta Berry-Johnson, a
community champion and the Executive Director for The Ivins Outreach Center.
Darletta has been instrumental in partnering with us to help WTS grow our
Morrisville classes to now meet more than 200 student registrations a year.
Since 1999, over 2,400 students from 87 different countries have been educated in
our classes. We continue to see record demand and see lives changed for the
better. The demand is particularly strong in our Citizenship Preparation classes,
where we have helped over 250 adults pass their U.S. naturahzation examination.
Classes are provided in neighborhoods where there are dense populations of
immigrant and refugee families - Bensalem, Langhorne, Levittown, Morrisville,
Newtown, and Warminster. With the cooperation of many community
partnerships, we are able to start classes in community centers, churches,
apartment complexes, and other locales where we are needed most.
Again, please join us for a fantastic evening. We thank God for your partnership
with us as you help us welcome the stranger, and we look forward to seeing you
soon.
Thank you,
Rev. S. Sturgis Poorman, Jr.
Executive Director
